Closed on President's Day

We will be closed on Monday February 21 in honor of Presidents’ Day.  Which presidents?  Certainly the list must include Herbert Hoover and William Henry Harrison?  Well, President’s day was once honored as a day to celebrate George Washington’s birthday. As the years passed, Abraham Lincoln was given an unofficial holiday, however, this day was lumped in with Washington’s birthday holiday since Lincoln was born in February as well.  Now, President’s Day has become Presidents’ Day, honoring both leaders.  Fret not fans of Hoover and Harrison – an increasing number of people are associating this holiday with the birthdays of all past and present leaders.  Too bad – we could have used the extra 43 holiday birthdays!
